Melanie Macfarlane MMIA | Director at MM Migration
A passionate driver of change and a fierce advocate for a diverse, global society, Melanie Macfarlane is a registered migration agent and a migrant herself to Australia. Born in Sierra Leone, West Africa, she then grew up in Vanuatu and Indonesia and was educated in the UK.  She founded her business MMMigration & Recruitment and VETA Education & Migration in 2007 and since then has helped over 10,000 migrants secure visas, from students to permanent residents.  She has a diverse team of migrants and Australians working together in the business and with her company’s mantra, Happy People Happy World, her aim is to help people reach their full potential, no matter what their background.

Melanie is VP of the MIA NSW/ACT Committee and Executive Director of ISEAA the International Students Education Agents Association and is a regular contributor to the media on immigration matters through the Canberra Times, Western Australian, SBS, ABC, 2CC Radio Canberra and 9 News Perth.  

Julie Williams FMIA | Managing Director & Principal at Migration Downunder

Julie is in her 25th year of working in the migration profession and is the Founder & Owner of Migration Downunder with offices located in Sydney and Melbourne.

Julie has held the positions of MIA National President in addition to the NSW/ACT State President whilst holding a position on the MIA Board for five years – two of those years as Chair.  Julie is a Fellow of the Migration Institute of Australia having been an MIA member since 1999.

Ashwin Tyagi MMIA | Director at Immigration Hotspot

Ashwin is an Australian Registered Migration Agent (MARN No.1575846) through the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA Australia) and helps Australian companies sponsor staff and overseas professionals migrate to Australia.

He has over 18 years of experience in migration law industry, international recruitment and management roles in Australia.

He holds a Graduate Cert. in Migration Law & Practice from Australian National University (ANU), and a Bachelor of Business, jointly conferred by Cornell University, USA and RMIT University, Australia.
