About MIA
The Migration Institute of Australia (MIA) is the professional association for Australian migration service providers worldwide, working together for the benefit of Australia.
The MIA represents over 2000 Registered Migration Agents (RMAs) and qualified Education Agents (EAs) across Australia and overseas. These professionals provide migration and education recruitment services to prospective migrants, workers, students, families and humanitarian entrants, as well as supporting Australian businesses in the recruitment of skilled workers and international students from overseas.
The Institute liaises with government departments on behalf of its Members, providing a forum for communication and a platform for submissions on aspects of Australian Government immigration policies and programs.
All MIA Members undertake a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training program designed to promote a standard of excellence in education and services in the migration industry. Institute CPD programs are open to all migration agents, with MIA Members receiving substantial discounts and other support.
The Institute aims to help Members to deliver the highest level of services to their clients through the provision of professional support, high level educational offerings and the promotion of the highest standards of professional conduct. MIA Members commit to operate in accordance with the Institute’s Code of Ethics and Practice, as well as the compulsory Code of Conduct for all RMAs, which provides extra assurance to anyone seeking a migration agent that choosing a MIA Member is a smart move.
