Types of Membership

The Migration Institute of Australia membership year runs from 1 July to 30 June. All fees and charges are in Australian dollars (AUD).

MEMBERSHIP TYPES - FOR REGISTERED MIGRATION AGENTS (RMAs)

Member (commercial)

• Category for RMAs who work as a sole trader or in a practice with less than three (3) agents on staff
• $450 + gst for 12 month membership (pro rata fees available)
• $225 + gst for new agents (agents registered with the Office of the MARA between 2012 and 2013) 
• $55 joining fee applies

• Member (non commercial)

• Category for RMAs who are registered as a non-fee charging agent with the Office of the MARA
• $110 + gst

• Organisation (commercial)

• Category for commercial migration practices with three (3) or more agents on staff
• All eligible staff required to take up membership for discount to be applied
• Subscriptions transferable in the event of staffing changes
• 3+ $405/RMA, 5+ $360/RMA, 10+ $315/RMA, 20+ $270/RMA, 30+ $225/RMA (+ gst)

• Organisation (non commercial)

• Category for community legal centres, not for profit organisations, multicultural resource centres etc with five (5) or more agents on staff
• All eligible staff required to take up membership for discount to be applied
• Subscriptions transferable in the event of staffing changes
• 5+ $80/RMA, 10+ $70/RMA, 20+ $60/RMA, 30+ $50/RMA (+ gst)

• MEMBERSHIP TYPES - AFFILIATE CATEGORIES

  Student subscriber

• Category for those enrolled in the Graduate Certificate in Australian Migration Law and Practice or relevant masters program / law degree
• Free subscription whilst enrolled in relevant tertiary course
