Members join for a financial year - from 1 July to 30 June the following year.

Already a member? Please login to myMIA to renew your membership online.

You can apply for membership either online or via post. If you wish to apply for membership via post, you will need to download and complete the following forms and mail it to MIA.

Membership Types and Fees

This is an overview of our membership types and fees.

Membership Type	Description	Pro Rata Only	Pro Rata & Next Year
Member (Commercial RMA)	Registered Migration Agent. Covers most MIA members.	$70 pro rata $55 joining fee	$70 pro rata $495 for next year $55 joining fee
Member (Non-Commercial RMA)	Registered Migration Agent. For RMAs registered with the MARA as non-fee charging.	$120 pro rata No joining fee	$120 pro rata $120 for next year No joining fee
Student Subscriber	Students only. Gives access to some MIA resources. Joining fee is waived when joining MIA as a Registered Migration Agent.	FREE!

Before you apply, you will need...

Students will need to provide:

Your student number
Details about where you are studying migration law and enrolled as a student in an approved course

Registered Migration Agents will need to provide:

Your curriculum vitae (CV) or resume
The names and membership numbers of two (2) financial MIA members to nominate you. If you do not know any other MIA members, we can make other arrangements for you

Education Agents will need to provide:

Your curriculum vitae (CV) or resume
Three provider reference letters from CRICOS approved providers (see template letter)
One client reference letter
An Australian Federal Police (AFP) check clearance (click here for more information)
The name and membership number of one (1) financial MIA member to nominate you. If you do not know any other MIA members, we can make other arrangements for you
You may also be asked to provide evidence that you hold a Bachelor Degree, have completed an IELTS 6 or TOEFL equivalent and have completed the Education Agent Training Course (EATC)
