Professional Support for MIA Members

    18 March 2010

As many of you would be aware, the MIA employs Registered Migration Agents to assist with professional support, continuing professional development, liaising with DIAC and updating members on legislation and policy changes.

Given the frequency of changes being implemented by the Department and various skills assessment bodies, the ability to communicate this to members is the first priority of the Institute.

Due to this current demand, we are tailoring the professional advice service offered to those members requiring assistance with specific case issues.

If you have completed your own research in legislation and policy and are still unsure on the correct path to take, we suggest you visit the MIA Forum, a useful resource to interact online with experienced members who are able to provide advice and direction.

This is a free service for members and is a very important tool to stay in touch with the migration advice community and establish professional relationships with experienced colleagues.

Please note: the MIA advice email will still be active for those complex enquiries that cannot be answered through the initial process of research and forum discussion.
