Senior Consultant - Solicitor / RMA

Due to recent expansion of our Sydney CBD office, we have a position available for an experienced solicitor or migration agent. A competitive salary will be offered and the successful applicant will be rewarded for the quality and professionalism of work and the service delivered to clients.

Duties:

• Provide professional, practical and tailored immigration advice and assistance to corporate clients and individual visa applicants
• Draft advice and engagement letters to clients
• Prepare and lodge immigration applications and liaise with authorities on behalf of clients and visa applicants
• Build, maintain and manage professional relationships with clients and provide a high level of proactive and personalised service to clients at all times
• Keep up to date with legislative and other relevant changes, research more complex immigration issues / cases and ensure that colleagues are regularly and fully informed
• Participate in required CPD activities and update colleagues regarding any relevant information
• Contribute to the smooth operation of our practice by taking responsibility for administration of your client files (file maintenance, database entry, invoicing etc), and undertake other projects / tasks as requested
• Continue to support the Principal in developing and implementing new or enhanced systems and procedures to support client applications
• Supervise and mentor junior staff and provide guidance to other team members
• Contribute to raising standards and professionalism of the migration advice industry by participating in, and representing Ajuria Lawyers at relevant industry conferences, seminars, meetings, as requested

Ideal Requirements:

• Degree qualified
• At least 3-5 years of experience as an immigration lawyer / registered migration agent in a corporate immigration practice
• Excellent communication and client service skills
• Interested in being part of a busy and growing practice
