Subject Matter:
This seminar will focus on Visa Cancellation under sections 109 (cancellation of a visas is information supplied is incorrect), 116 – 118 (The General Power of cancellation) and section 134 – 137 (cancellation of business visas) and s137Q – 137T (cancellation of Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme Visas).
The legislative requirements that DIAC must follow in order to notify someone of an intention to cancel a visa and associated administrative procedures and the consequences of visa cancellation for applicants onshore and future applications will also be addressed.
Speaker:
Kerry Murphy is a solicitor and migration agent and has, for many years, been an accredited specialist in immigration law. He is currently a partner in the firm D’Ambra Murphy Lawyers where he represents clients at all stages of the Australian immigration process, including the primary, tribunal and court levels.
