Partner Migration - Advanced Issues

Rebecca Phillips from Program Delivery, First Stage Partner, DIAC will be presenting a session regarding the recent amendments to DIAC policy with respect to first stage partner processing, including:

• Changes to the structure of the criteria with respect to spouse and defacto visas
• Recognition of registered relationships and relevant evidence required
• DIAC policies with respect to interviews
• Discretionary Assurance of Support policies
• Criteria that precludes eligibility to apply onshore, e.g. GSM, Sponsored Visitor, No Further Stay
• Applications for removal of No Further Stay conditions
• Compelling and Compassionate criteria
• Common problems with partner visa applications
• How RMAs can assist you in processing partner visa applications
