Subject Matter:
This workshop will involve a combination of learning techniques (case studies, hypotheticals, group work, case law updates and presentations) and will cover:
- Character Provisions (identifying potential issues)
- Understanding the health criteria and dealing with complex health issues
- Ensuring document integrity (PIC 4020)
- Understanding your ethical obligations under the Code of Conduct in relation to the Public Interest Criteria (PIC)
- Problem solving techniques for clients who may have their visa refused or cancelled due to PIC
Speaker:
Lachlan Riches MARN 9473887 is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW and the High Court of Australia, and a Partner at Taylor & Scott Lawyers. His vast experience extends to all areas of immigration law, and he is a regular presenter for the Migration Institute of Australia.
