Subject Matter:

Using a real life case, this workshop will take you through the process of:

  • Advising a client who is unlawful and apprehended by police
  • Managing or referring criminal charges and an AVO
  • Obtaining a Bridging Visa for an Unlawful Client
  • Liaising with Compliance Section re further bridging visas and work rights
  • Dealing with associated Character Issues
  • Applying for an 8503 waiver
  • Applying for the Partner Visa
  • Advising and satisfying partner eligibility Criteria

This workshop will provide you with a complex scenario addressing the above issues, and take you step by step through the process from start to finish. Throughout the CPD session, you’ll be required to critically analyse policy and legislation, brainstorm with class participants and assess all available options to achieve a successful migration outcome for this case.

The knowledge learnt throughout this advanced workshop will assist you when confronted with many other complex scenarios.
