Monday 21 — Tuesday 22 October 2013

Venue:
Rydges Lakeside Canberra, 1 London Circuit, Canberra City, ACT 2601

The MIA is delighted to announce the Migration 2013 Conference will this year head to the nation’s capital in October, marking the first time Canberra will play host to the migration profession’s key event of the year.

This year’s Conference, set for the Rydges Lakeside Canberra on Monday 21 October and Tuesday 22 October, will be very much centred on migration policy. Designed to coincide with the 2013 parliamentary sitting calendar for the House of Representatives and to take advantage of the flurry of public activities scheduled for the Centenary of Canberra, the event will attract strong support and interest from parliamentarians, public sector leaders, high level DIAC officers and non-government organisation (NGO) representatives based in Canberra.

Migration 2013 is planned to be the key migration forum of the year. It is an exciting program dealing with public policy discussions and debates, a unique dialogue about migration with key players from many fields participating.

The Migration Conference has grown consistently year on year and has now become the premier event on the migration advice profession’s calendar, attracting over the past few years keynote speakers including Government and Shadow Government Ministers, legal scholars and advocates, groundbreaking academics, economic forecasters, and leaders of the NGO sector.

The Conference program will offer participants relevant and innovative sessions and will also encourage delegate participation through a series of workshops highlighting topical issues.
