MIGRATION MATTERS
The Migration Institute of Australia (MIA) strives to provide leadership for the migration advice profession and foster open communication between MIA Members, Government, the public and other stakeholders.
The Migration 2012 Conference is the MIA's major annual event and offers a unique opportunity to discuss the issues of the day that affect Australian Migration
The theme for Migration 2012 Conference - "Migration Matters" - reflects the Institute's central supposition: that migration is an essential and elemental part of Australia's past, present and future.
It also speaks to the fragmented "matters" that make up Australia's Migration Program, requiring an intimate understanding of such disparate factors as: Australia's competitiveness within international higher education; the health of regional area labour markets; the latest changes within several governments' regulatory and legislative structures; and the current volatility of geopolitics, amonst many others.
Over two days, the Migration 2012 Conference will prove illuminating and exciting for migration advisors and other interested professionals, with delegates hearing directly from the highest levels of Government, the brightest minds of academia and the most powerful voices of industry.
